Jakarta, October 29, 2024 – The Embassy of the Netherlands hosted a networking and discussion event between the Netherlands and Indonesia in the digital agriculture sector at the Erasmus Huis Auditorium, Jakarta. This event was initiated by the Embassy of the Netherlands together with ANGIN, as an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in the agricultural sector, with a focus on digitalization and strengthening regulatory infrastructure.

This collaboration aims to encourage innovation and create more efficient and sustainable agricultural practices through digitalization. The use of digital technology is expected to improve production systems, resource management, and market access, which contribute to local food security in Indonesia and the Netherlands. This activity is in line with one of the BUMN Foundation's focuses in the environmental sector, and demonstrates the BUMN Foundation's commitment to supporting global efforts to strengthen the local agricultural sector.

In addition to being a forum for information exchange, this event also provides an opportunity to discuss strategic recommendations from the results of the agrifood digitalization study conducted by ANGIN together with the Dutch Embassy. In this discussion, the BUMN Foundation together with stakeholders reviewed concrete steps in four important areas: business collaboration, access to agricultural funding, joint research, and government-to-government partnerships (G2G). These steps are expected to pave the way for sustainable agricultural solutions through synergy between the two countries.

"This event is in line with the main focus of the BUMN Foundation in the environmental sector. We are very proud to be able to participate in this initiative, which can be a bridge for cross-sector collaboration to support innovation and agricultural development in Indonesia," said Maya Lestari, Chief of Program and Operations of the BUMN Foundation.

The active participation of the BUMN Foundation in this activity also provides a valuable opportunity to share experiences and expand networks with stakeholders.
