BUMN Foundation and Tanoto Foundation: Exploring Strategic Collaboration for Stronger and More Sustainable Child Care
Yayasan BUMN
Jakarta, May 28, 2025 — The BUMN Foundation continues to expand its steps as a driver of cross-sector collaboration. This time, the BUMN Foundation is exploring the potential for strategic synergy with the Tanoto Foundation, a philanthropic organization known for its research-based approach to human resource development, especially in the fields of education and childcare.
This meeting became the starting point for a warm and potential discussion. Both parties found strong overlap between the programs. Ruang Tumbuh owned by the BUMN Foundation, which focuses on strengthening the role of Posyandu in supporting child growth and development and preventing stunting, with the initiative Child Nutrition and Care System (S/GAP) owned by Tanoto Foundation. Both share a strong emphasis on the importance of strong parenting modules and empowerment of cadres at the community level.
As a first step, Tanoto Foundation invited BUMN Foundation to see firsthand the implementation of the approach carried out in the field. This visit became a space for joint learning while strengthening the commitment of both parties to continue exploring potential collaborations in the future.
This initiative not only shows the direction of strengthening the BUMN Foundation program, but also reflects its role as collaboration catalyst. By opening itself to cross-sector strategic partnerships, the BUMN Foundation wants to ensure that efforts to build Indonesia start from the most basic roots, families and local communities.
Ruang Tumbuh is expected to be a multi-sectoral collaborative program in forming a superior generation, building physical infrastructure, and no less importantly building parenting infrastructure. And therefore, this collaboration is key. When various parties unite their vision, the resulting impact will not only be broader, but also more sustainable. Let's continue to believe that the future of the nation can be formed from small hands that grow in an environment full of support, attention, and love.
