BUMN Foundation and Edufarmers Foundation: Synergizing to Create a Stunting-Free Generation

Jakarta, June 11, 2025 — The BUMN Foundation continues to strengthen cross-sector collaborative steps in presenting real solutions to national strategic issues, one of which is handling stunting. In this spirit, the BUMN Foundation through the Ruang Tumbuh program is exploring the potential for collaboration with the Edufarmers Foundation to integrate a food security-based nutritional intervention approach and technology.

Through the Road to Zero Stunting initiative, Edufarmers introduced a model that combines nutrition education, providing one egg per child every day, and strengthening the local food supply chain through cultivation and community involvement. This approach is considered in line with the mentoring activities that have been carried out by the BUMN Foundation for Posyandu cadres and parents of children.

Not only relying on direct intervention, Edufarmers also presents technology-based innovations to support the effectiveness of the program. AI Chatbot Sakti and Dashboard Satifood allow education and monitoring of nutritional status to be carried out in real-time, interactively, and based on data. This technology opens up new space in strengthening the role of cadres and parents as the front line in fulfilling children's nutrition.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of building a local food system that can meet nutritional needs in a diverse and sustainable manner. A variety of nutritious food ingredients will have a direct impact on the quality of children's growth and development, while strengthening community food security.

As a program initiator Ruang Tumbuh, BUMN Foundation opens up space for cross-sector synergy with an inclusive collaborative spirit. Together with Edufarmers, BUMN Foundation explores various forms of strategic partnerships, ranging from joint educational campaigns to strengthening an integrated nutritional assistance system. The hope is that this collaboration can expand the reach and impact of the program collectively, so that more Indonesian children can grow up healthy, smart, and optimal.
