Yayasan BUMN Participates in the 16th Philanthropy Thought Leaders Meeting

Jakarta, August 7, 2024 – BUMN Foundation also participated in the event Philanthropy Thought Leaders #16 organized by the Indonesian Philanthropy Association (PFI), Asia Philanthropy Circle (APC), and Bakti Barito Foundation. The event took place on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Wisma Barito Pacific II Penthouse, Jakarta. The event was opened by Laurence Lien, Co-Founder and CEO of the Asia Philanthropy Circle and Fifi Pangestu, Executive Director of the Bakti Barito Foundation and attended by several prominent philanthropic leaders in Indonesia.

The purpose of this event is to increase understanding of strategic philanthropy while introducing the Indonesian edition of the book. “A Philanthropist's Guide to Giving.” This book offers a variety of strategic approaches that philanthropists can use to design and sharpen their initiatives, thereby achieving greater impact.

The BUMN Foundation believes that strategic philanthropy is a vehicle to support the achievement of sustainable development goals in Indonesia. "We are committed to continuing to contribute to creating positive social and economic change through a more planned and focused philanthropic approach," said Maya Lestari as Chief Program and Operations of the BUMN Foundation, who also attended the event.

Through participation in this event, the BUMN Foundation hopes to strengthen its network with other philanthropic leaders, as well as build more effective collaboration in supporting various sustainable programs in Indonesia.
