Synergy of BUMN Foundation & Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries: Strategic Plan to Collaborate in Empowering Women and Realizing Sustainable Marine Ecosystems

Jakarta, February 3, 2025 – The BUMN Foundation held an audience with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) at the Mina Bahari 3 Building to discuss potential collaboration in environmental programs that will be implemented in 2025. This meeting is the initial step in exploring synergies between the BUMN and KKP ecosystems in supporting sustainability and community empowerment in the marine and fisheries sector.

The audience was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, namely Kusdiantoro as Secretary of the Directorate General of Marine Spatial Management (Sesditjen PRL), Agus Darwaman as Head of Coastal Arrangement and PPK, Nita from the staff of Sesditjen PRL, and Lantip as Head of Cooperation of the Directorate General of PRL. From the representative of the BUMN Foundation, namely Irena Hadiwijoyo as Head of Environment & Sustainability, along with the ranks of the BUMN Foundation. 

The discussion in this meeting covered various potential collaborations that could have a positive impact on coastal communities. KKP also explained several initiatives that have been implemented in various regions in Indonesia, including conservation efforts and strengthening community capacity. Meanwhile, the BUMN Foundation conveyed its vision and commitment to contribute to sustainability efforts through a collaborative approach with various stakeholders.

As a follow-up, KKP will review the most appropriate form of cooperation to support the implementation of the BUMN Foundation program in the coming year. Both parties have also appointed representatives to ensure more effective coordination in the preparation and implementation of the program.

With the establishment of communication and cooperation plans, the BUMN Foundation and KKP are optimistic that they can create a sustainable positive impact for coastal communities. The synergy between the public sector and the BUMN ecosystem is expected to be able to present innovative solutions and open up new opportunities for environmental sustainability and community welfare in various regions of Indonesia. In the future, this collaboration will continue to be developed so that its benefits can be felt widely and sustainably.
