State-Owned Enterprises Foundation at FIFest 2025: Participation for Collaboration and Real Impact

Jakarta, August 7, 2025 — Yayasan BUMN actively participate in Indonesian Philanthropy Festival (FIFest) 2025, a national-scale strategic forum that brings together cross-sector stakeholders to drive progress philanthropy in Indonesia. Carrying the theme “Philanthropic Culture and Ecosystem for Better Impact: Unlocking Philanthropy’s Potential for the SDGs and Climate Agenda”, FIFest becomes a catalyst for dialogue, innovation and sustainable partnerships to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate agenda.

The event, which took place in Jakarta from August 4–8, 2025, was attended by philanthropic organizations, government agencies, companies, NGOs, academics, researchers, and young innovators. State-Owned Enterprises Foundation at FIFest 2025 as a form of commitment to strengthening networks, providing insight, and encouraging cross-sector collaboration in creating real social and environmental impact.


At the plenary forum, Syafuan, Chairman of the BUMN Foundation, joined together Tomy Hendrajati (Indonesian Philanthropy Board, President of Human Initiative), Purely Your Majesty (Chief Program Officer Rumah Zakat), Dr. Leonardus Tumuka (Chairman of the YPMAK Management), and Dr. Alin Halimatussadiah (Head of Green Economy and Climate, Research Group LPEM FEB UI). He emphasized the importance of strengthening cross-sector collaboration to achieve common goals. "Mutual cooperation is key. The stronger the mutual cooperation, the closer we are to our common goal." This message reinforces the fundamental value of philanthropy as a collective effort that requires the support of all parties.


In the X parallel session with the theme “Investing for Sustainability and Change: Closing the SDG Financing Gap through Trust, Collaboration, and Catalytic Capital”, Maya Lestari, Chief of Program & Operations of the BUMN Foundation, speaking with Irvan Nugraha (Secretary of the Indonesian Philanthropy Board, CEO of Rumah Zakat), Winu Adiarto (President Director of PT Amazon Data Services Indonesia), Melanie Masriel (Chief of Corporate Affairs, Engagement and Sustainability L'Oréal Indonesia), and Charlie Hartono (Director, Indonesia AVPN). This discussion highlighted three keys to closing the SDG financing gap: building trust through transparency, strengthening inclusive collaboration, and providing catalytic capital that dares to take early risks. This approach emphasizes the importance of financing that focuses on systemic and sustainable change, not just short-term output.

In session Backyard Philanthropy Expo & Innovation Showcase, Andika Dwi Prasetya, HR & Corporate Relations Manager of the BUMN Foundation, acted as moderator of the joint discussion Monita Tahalea (Musician & Social Activist, Hope Ambassador Wahana Visi Indonesia) and Harashta Haifa Zahra (Miss Indonesia 2024). The topic highlights the role of public figures and communities in raising public awareness of social issues, emphasizing that concrete actions within communities can spark participation, and that every individual has the potential to be a bridge to change.
