Learn, Network, and Collaborate: Temasek Foundation & Friends Meetup
Yayasan BUMN
Jakarta, June 29, 2025 – BUMN Foundation attended Temasek Foundation & Friends Meetup, a cross-generational and cross-sector forum hosted by the Temasek Foundation. This cross-generational gathering brought together alumni, program partners, and leaders of change from various sectors. The meeting was also attended by Mr. NG Boon Heong (CEO of the Temasek Foundation), Yi-Ching Lynn Ho (Director of the Temasek Foundation), Yenny Wahid (Director of the Wahid Foundation), Syafuan (CEO of the State-Owned Enterprises Foundation), and leaders of change from various fields.

This event is not just a forum for discussion, but a space for the birth of transformative ideas based on real-life experiences. Through sessions human library, changemakers share personal stories, reflections on failures, and innovative ideas that emerge from a deep understanding of local challenges.

This forum was also enriched with the presence of speakers and Temasek Foundation program partners representing diverse backgrounds: Yenny Wahid (Director Wahid Foundation) leader of an organization dedicated to advancing peace, tolerance, and interfaith dialogue; Adhitya Ramadhan (Assistant Editor, Kompas Daily) who brings perspectives from public health, climate change, and social policy; Charles Tanaka (Managing Director, Fairventures Social Forestry) which combines reforestation with farmer empowerment; and Audrey Adhiarini (Strategic Partnership & Enterprise Lead, Duitin Indonesia) who drives circular economy innovation to empower marginalized communities.

This meeting also became a momentum to strengthen previously established collaborations, such as the Temasek Foundation's partnership with the program Ruang Tumbuh in 2024, which focuses on optimizing the function of space and the role of integrated health posts (Posyandu) as a center for innovation in child growth and development to prevent stunting through integrated holistic support.
These stories serve as a reminder that change comes not only from grand strategies, but also from empathy and the courage to read the local context.

This meeting did not stop at just exchanging ideas. The main goal was to formulate national action plan that are relevant to local conditions, through policies, advocacy, and empowering the younger generation as agents of change.
The presence of the State-Owned Enterprises Foundation at this forum is part of its commitment to expanding its network, directly hearing cross-sectoral aspirations, and strengthening collaboration for greater impact. The Temasek Foundation & Friends Meetup serves as a reminder that change doesn't always come from large spaces, but also from simple gatherings, open conversations, and targeted collaborations for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
