Final Showcase of the Nation's Best Minds: Turning Innovation into Real Impact for Indonesia's Future

Jakarta, December 11, 2024 – BUMN Foundation successfully held Final Showcase The Best Minds Program in the Country, an innovation festival that brings together and appreciates the extraordinary impact of brilliant ideas from all over Indonesia. This event is the closing of a series of extraordinary program journeys, taking place in Jakarta. The BUMN Foundation is a foundation that has a mission to multiply transformative impacts, in order to support sustainable human and environmental development for the future.
The Best Minds of the Nation event was officially closed by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Erick Thohir, who expressed his hope that the impact of the 20 Best Minds of the Nation Social Entrepreneurs could continue to innovate in providing sustainable solutions in the health and environmental sectors as well as being an inspiration for building a better future for Indonesia.
"The Best Minds of the Nation is proof that cross-sector collaboration can produce real solutions to the nation's challenges, which are also in line with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita mission, that economic growth is not just a number but also an equal distribution of improving the quality of human resources. With the spirit of innovation and sustainability, together we build a more inclusive and competitive future for Indonesia," said Erick Thohir.
The event was supported by the Ministry of SOEs and attended by invited guests who are stakeholders, such as sponsors, strategic partners, outreach partners, media partners, venture capital (VC), social entrepreneurs, expert panels, ambassador representatives, NGOs, and public guests. Their presence shows strong support for social innovation that has a real impact on society in the Pikiran Terbaik Negeri program.
Final Showcase is the final stage of the Best Minds Program in the Country, after which the BUMN Foundation will publish Impact Report to show the real impact of the implementation of the Program from each Social Entrepreneur. The beneficiaries of the Best Minds in the Country Program number more than 21,000 people, who come from various community groups, including farmers, teachers, children, fishermen, housewives, students, garbage collectors, health workers, and factory workers. This data reflects the success of the program in reaching and making positive contributions to various levels of society.
Mr. Syafuan, Chairman of the BUMN Foundation, said, "The Best Minds of the Nation have proven that big ideas can be transformed into real, impactful actions. This is not the end, but the beginning of a long journey towards a better future for Indonesia."
Aligning with the BUMN Foundation's focus on health and the environment, speakers also provided in-depth insights into strategic sectors, such as Yuli Sri Wilanti (National Project Director FOLUR), Jusrian Saubara Orpayanda (CEO Arconesia), Agus Dwi Handaya (Chairman of the Indonesian Human Capital Forum), and Audrey Maximillian Herli (Co-founder Riliv) in a panel discussion focused on the food supply chain system and mental health. Bringing together social entrepreneurs with potential partners, creating strategic collaboration opportunities in group discussions.
One of the highlights of the event was the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) and three social entrepreneurs Pikiran Terbaik Negeri, namely PTPN I with Kulaku, PT RPN with Bell Living Lab, and PTPN IV with Arconesia. This MoU includes cooperation to develop sustainable business models in the food and agriculture sectors.
With the end of Final Showcase, The Nation's Best Minds Program proves that the best ideas can become real solutions for society and the environment. This program not only creates direct impact but also inspires various parties to continue to innovate for a more sustainable future for Indonesia.
