Jakarta, August 25, 2024 โ€” The BUMN Foundation has successfully held the Grand Final Pitching of the โ€œBest Minds in the Countryโ€ program, an innovation festival that brings together and appreciates the impact that has been generated from brilliant ideas from all over Indonesia. The event, held at Ciputra Artpreneur, marked the culmination of the transformation initiative inaugurated by the Minister of BUMN of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, in response to the need for sustainable solutions for the health and environmental sectors.

Erick Thohir said that currently the BUMN Foundation continues to transform in response to future issues in the form of maternal and child health services, mental health issues and also environmental damage issues. For that, he emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration to realize and accelerate the transformation.

"We cannot walk alone, there must be strategic collaboration and innovative, creative ideas that have a positive and broad impact on society and the environment, We also need a measurable roadmap. So the BUMN Foundation also collaborates with expert panels in their respective fields, to jointly run the main programs of the BUMN Foundation," said Erick.

The Best Minds Program in the Country itself collaborates with ANGIN as the program implementer, all BUMN Venture Capital, a number of media partners, and outreach partners who ensure that the beneficiaries of this program are right on target. The goal is to find the best ideas and innovations that can offer solutions to future issues.

"This is the solution that the 20 best innovators in the Best Minds in the Country program by the BUMN Foundation want to offer. I congratulate the finalists. This program distributes grant funds of up to 3 billion rupiah, to realize ideas, into solution-oriented innovations." Erick added

Chairman of Yayasan BUMN, Syafuan said that the Grand Final Pitching is not just about competition; it is also an arena for the exchange of ideas and collaboration. Yayasan BUMN provides a special space where participants, communities, visitors, Venture Capital and panelists can exchange ideas and build connections. From panel discussions to networking sessions, every aspect of the event is designed to maximize productive interactions.

On this occasion, not only grant recipients, but also three best innovators were selected, one audience choice, and one social media choice. The winners are: First winner Gede Jamur, Second winner BIKI, third winner ehealth.co.id. Participants also get the chance to become the favorite version of the audience and social media. The winner of the audience's favorite choice is Arconesia and the winner of the social media favorite version is The Prenatal Institute.

After the Grand Final Pitching event today, the participants will continue the Best Minds in the Country program for the next three months. The program is project implementation and impact report. The impact report will contain information about the implementation of the program and how much the impact of the Best Minds in the Country program has increased on the surrounding environment and the participants' social projects. Then at the end of the Best Minds in the Country Program, all participants will present their work in the final show case event which will be held in November 2024.

The event ended with a statement of commitment from the BUMN Foundation to continue supporting social innovation in Indonesia.
